“They are my stickers, and I will give one to you.”

“What do you want to do?”
“I want to poo poo.”

“What are you doing?”
“I am poo pooing.”

I think… I mean…

What's the highlight of your day today?”

7. 隨機播放清單,播到了 Earth, Wind & Fire 的歌,問她說 “who is this?”

8. 記事情經常仰賴順序,我如果問說 “What is the 8th month of the year?”,必須開始唱歌, January~ February~…

I swim so fast.
我問她說: why are you so good? (我期待她回答我 “Because I practice.”,因為有事沒事我就會一直跟她說 “Practice makes you better.“ 或是 "If you want to learn it, you have to practice."
Because I have talent…

Rethinking DEI: Strategies for a Fair and Inclusive Workplace 2025.3.15

President Trump just canceled the DEI policy in the government, and this executive order received a lot of support. This confused me at first. However, after doing a little research, I realized that people still believe in equality, but they often dislike how it has been applied in the recruiting process sometimes.

Establishing a fair working environment has never been an easy task. I don’t totally agree with Trump, but I have to say I can reasonably understand why he gained support from voters on specific issues. I try to imagine how I could continually ensure that a company operates fairly and makes everyone feel comfortable if I were an organizer. Here are my strategies:

1. Don’t get stuck on just one strategy:

We can learn many strategies and methods of management from books, online classes, and social media. We may feel that one of them is the most suitable for us, but don’t forget that employees are diverse and varied. You can combine different strategies and create a unique approach tailored to your organization.

2. Focus on the spirit, not the quantity:

The most important value of DEI is that we should stop stereotypical views based on gender, race, and personal identity. Many approaches can achieve the same goal. For example, you can provide training on these topics or prevent people who are racist or sexist from joining your company.

3. Implement new tools:

We cannot completely prevent bias if we let employees review each other or allow human HR to filter resumes from the market. However, AI tools may do a better job in this field. We may not be able to replace the human workforce with AI, but we could use these tools to establish a more equal process for recruiting and rewarding.

I haven’t been an organizer before. As an employee, I think this kind of company would make me want to work there for many years. If you are a CEO or a high-level manager, I hope this article is helpful and inspiring to you.
